How do I obtain a Firearms License?
Licensing is managed by Service NSW inside the Gun Safe Portal. We recommend starting the process there and completing your Firearms Safety Training course ready to process your application.
Where can I do the Firearms Safety Training Course?
We don’t currently facilitate these in store – but your local Clay Target, Rifle or Pistol Club will be able to provide you more information on local availability.
Can I transfer firearms in store?
We can facilitate transfers including: in store, person to person transfers; transfers to NSW dealers and; interstate transfers.
What paperwork do I need to process a transfer?
Person to Person:
Seller (Registered Owner) needs their Firearms Licence, registration paperwork (can be digital but must be printed) and the firearm.
Buyer needs their Firearms Licence + access to their Permit to Acquire (digital access to the Gun Safe Portal is required)
Dealer Transfer (NSW or Interstate):
Registered Owner must be present with their Firearms Licence, registration paperwork (can be digital but must be printed) and the firearm.
Details required to send the firearm are – Dealer Name, Dealer Licence No, Delivery Address + Name of Buyer/Purchaser on the other side.
How much are your fees?
Witness Transfer in Store - $50
Transfer to Dealer (NSW + Interstate) - $150 inc. administration, freight & insurance.
Administration fees are variable.
Do you safe-keep firearms?
We do have a safe-keeping facility. We do not offer long-term solutions and all safe-keeping is subject to availability. Cost is variable.
